Before a contract
A company can ask a freelancer a question from a profile or a mission, and the freelancer answers in the same thread. Proposals and their changes are discussed there too, so the contract reflects what was agreed.
During the mission
Each event of the mission appears in its thread: a milestone submitted, approved or questioned, a payment released, an invoice issued. Files sit next to the messages that mention them.
Who can read a thread
Only the people on the mission and the members of their organization. When you report a message or open a mediation, the FreelanX team can review the conversation to decide.
Keep payments on FreelanX
Payments go through FreelanX, which holds the money paid by the company, at order or milestone by milestone, and releases it at each approved milestone. If someone asks you to pay or be paid outside the platform, do not do it, and report the message.
