A badge that says what it means.
Each level, what it covers.
What we check for each level, how we check it, and what a badge does not say.
Level 1 · Identity verified
We check a government ID and that it belongs to the person who holds the account. This level says who the person is, nothing about their skills.
Level 2 · Portfolio reviewed
A person on the FreelanX team opens the work samples shown on the profile and confirms, as far as it can be checked, that the work is the freelancer’s own.
Level 3 · Client-verified
Awarded after a finished mission on FreelanX, from the client’s feedback. It cannot be requested: it is earned through work done on the platform.
Credentials and track record
Diplomas can be checked by FreelanX and certificates verified with their issuer; anything else is labelled self-declared. Missions and returning clients are counted from paid milestones and cannot be edited by the freelancer.
Companies too
Organizations can verify their company from their account. Freelancers see it on the company’s missions before they apply.
What a badge does not say
A badge states what was checked. It does not guarantee the result of a mission: the contract, the milestones and approval before payment are there for that.
