Six limits, no small print.
What to expect, and what not to.
What an employer of record, FreelanX EOR included, does not do.
It does not choose or manage the person
Finding the right person is yours to do, on FreelanX Marketplace, with FreelanX Sourcing or on your own. Once the person is employed, you direct the work; FreelanX EOR does not set goals, assign tasks or run performance reviews.
It does not set local law aside
The person is employed under the law of their country. Probation, notice periods, leave, working time, benefits and the rules for ending an employment apply as the law sets them, and FreelanX EOR applies them. An EOR cannot make an employment end faster or cheaper than the law allows.
It does not make your company local
FreelanX EOR does not create an entity for you. Your company’s own position in the country, for example whether its activity there creates a tax presence, depends on what the person does: ask your counsel when the role sells or signs contracts locally.
It does not replace a right to work
The person must be allowed to work in the country. Where a work permit is needed, the country’s rules apply; the country guides describe them.
It is not a PEO, and not for every contractor
FreelanX does not offer PEO, the model where you co-employ through your own entity. For people who are genuinely independent, an employment contract is not the right tool:
It is not legal advice
Our pages and guides are general information. For a decision about a specific person or country, talk to us or to your counsel.
