Scope
In plain words. These terms apply to freelancers paid on FreelanX Talent. You accept them with a dedicated box before your first payment.
1.1These payment terms complete the FreelanX Terms of Service (section 1.3). They apply to every freelancer paid by FreelanX on FreelanX Talent and, where the contractor agrees, to FreelanX Contractors+.
1.2You accept them in writing, with a dedicated box, when you add your payout account and before any self-billed invoice is issued. FreelanX keeps the date and time of your acceptance and a PDF copy of the version you accepted.

Price and payment
In plain words. FreelanX buys the work from you at the agreed price less your fee, and pays you when the work is approved.
2.1FreelanX buys each mission from you at the price agreed in the contract, less 5%, or less 1% for a client you bring (Terms, 7.1 and 7.2). No separate invoice is issued for this fee.
2.2When the company approves your days, a milestone or your hours, or after 5 business days without an answer, FreelanX owes you that price and credits it to your balance. Your balance is an amount FreelanX owes you; you can withdraw it at any time to a verified bank account that belongs to you, in 1 to 3 business days.

Self-billing agreement
In plain words. FreelanX draws up your invoice to FreelanX at each payment. Check it: you have 15 days to contest it.
3.1Agreement. By accepting these terms, you agree that FreelanX draws up, on your behalf, your invoice to FreelanX for each payment FreelanX makes to you on FreelanX Talent. This agreement starts when you accept it, before any self-billed invoice is issued, and lasts until it ends under 3.8.
3.2When. FreelanX issues a self-billed invoice for each payment, when the work is approved or treated as approved, and does not issue periodic invoices.
3.3Content. Each self-billed invoice states “Self-billing”, its number, your details and FreelanX’s, including tax and VAT numbers where they exist, the work, the price, the VAT treatment you declared and the mentions it requires.
3.4Numbering and copy. Self-billed invoices are numbered in a continuous series for each freelancer, “AF-[freelancer code]-[year]-[number]”, without gaps. You receive each one in your account and by email, in PDF.
3.5Acceptance. Check each self-billed invoice. If you do not contest it within 15 days of its issue, it is treated as accepted.
3.6Contesting. Contest a self-billed invoice with the “Contest” button or by writing to support. FreelanX answers within 5 business days and, where the request is justified, issues a credit note referring to the invoice and a new self-billed invoice. A self-billed invoice is never deleted or changed.
3.7Your responsibilities. You remain responsible for your own invoicing obligations, for the accuracy of the details you give (legal name, address, tax and VAT status and numbers, mentions), for declaring and paying any VAT shown, and for telling FreelanX of any change before the next payment. Where your tax rules require it, you inform your tax office of this agreement; FreelanX provides a copy on request.
3.8Ending. You can end this agreement at any time from your settings; it ends for payments made from 30 days later. Closing your account also ends it. Self-billed invoices for work approved before the end remain valid. Self-billing is required to take missions on FreelanX Talent: after the agreement ends, you cannot accept new missions.
